Who are Siesta Coffee?

In the throes of expanding EHL UK, our main construction business, exiting the pub and nightclub market and moving into our new building on Durham Way South, Newton Aycliffe, we decided to diversify our portfolio even further by entering the coffee industry – an industry continually on the rise. That is when Siesta Coffee (est. 2016) was founded. Acquiring main frontage on a busy main road of the second largest industrial estate in the North East, we wanted to create a bespoke and unique offering to those not only working within the estate but equally outside the estate. This also enhanced EHL UK’s employment offering as well. Siesta Coffee has come on leaps and bounds over the years and has continued to strengthen its USP from offering health incentives, pet friendly products, artisan, to roasting its own coffee in house. Aside from our plethora of product offering, we firmly believe the staff and their passion for the brand are the heart of our business. Not only do we pride ourselves on maintaining high standards, we do so through sophisticated structural management that has proven to exponentially enhance the skillset and abilities of all those who are a part of the brand. Front of house is paramount. Our objective is to instil and continue to instil a warm and friendly atmosphere throughout from Customer Service to ensuring a friendly and enjoyable working environment. We instil creativity into our staff and the ability to come to Management with new ideas. The more creative minds that come together, the more powerful the growth potential. At Siesta Coffee, we don’t focus on competition – we focus purely on our brand and our team. We focus on our ethos and expanding what we are able to offer to the end customer, ensuring the end customer continues to remain highly satisfied.

Siesta Coffee are now expanding and we have a variety of new franchise opportunities right now in several locations. If you want to join with us as we continue our expansion across the UK, we would like to hear from you.

Cafe Franchise Trends

Siesta Coffee

Coffee is one of the most popular beverages on the planet, with over 2.25 billion cups consumed every day. Every year, coffee shops in the UK generate approximately £8 billion in revenue. It is also predicted that there will be more than 30,000 outlets generating £15 billion turnover within the next decade.

Why Choose a
Coffee Business?

The profile of a coffee consumer is constantly shifting and is as diverse as the options for selling coffee. Gone are the days of generic instant coffee served in polystyrene cups! Caffeine junkies may range from individuals grabbing coffee at a mobile truck, to connoisseurs who wish to linger with friends while enjoying an artisan blend. Even in the last decade, the market has expanded to include different options such as dairy-free coffee for vegans.

Coffee shops are increasingly becoming community hubs, serving as meeting places for friends and colleagues, or even functioning as a temporary office for hot-deskers. For some people, a coffee shop is also a good place to read a book with a great cup of coffee in a relatively peaceful environment.

Not only is coffee a big draw for consumers now, but many like to visit cafes that offer multiple options such as smoothies, juices, pastries, breakfast, and lunch. Cafe franchises are an ever-growing business opportunity so it’s a fantastic time to capitalise on this successful market.

Clientele
Cafe franchises can attract a wide range of clientele, ranging from students to executives. If you have a shop located close to where a lot of people work, or a university or college campus, there’s a good chance you will see some very healthy trade. Depending on your location you can also try to appeal to the upper end of the market, attracting customers with disposable income to spend on the finer blends and luxury treats.

Business support

So many people think of starting their own business – not just for the financial rewards but for the opportunity to be your own boss and run your own life. But the downside is that although you get all the rewards, you also take the risks. Taking on a franchise within a proven operation reduces those risks substantially. By joining Siesta Coffee, you can reduce them even more!

Track Record of Success – we have a developed a method of doing business that works well and produces successful results.

Strong Brand – One of the biggest advantages of franchising is that the company is building a brand on a regional or national basis that should have value in the eyes of customers you’re trying to attract.

Training Programme – we have a training programme designed to bring you up to speed on the most successful methods to run the business. We have reference materials to assist you in dealing with whatever comes up while you’re running your business.

Ongoing Operational Support – we have staff dedicated to providing ongoing assistance to franchisees. You’re not alone when you’re building and running your business, and you can always call on experienced people when you hit a rough spot or want to share new ideas for growing the business.

Marketing Assistance – we will offer you marketing assistance to provide you with proven tools and strategies for attracting and retaining customers.

Purchasing Power – as a franchise you can take advantage of the buying power of the entire system to negotiate prices for everything you need at significantly lower levels than you could achieve as an independent operator.

Risk Avoidance – the biggest reason to buy a franchise is that, if you’re smart, it will help you avoid much of the risk of starting a new business.

The Support Team

The team members comprise the owner Gary Stainsby, Group Director – Ryan Stainsby, Assistant Finance Manager – Daniel Stainsby, HR & Operations – Carly Moir, and Siesta Brand Manager – Natalie Holehouse, amongst a number of other experienced members in our team who have collaboratively ensured the success of the Group.

Ryan, Gary and Daniel initially locate the sites and undertake the acquisition and legal side of the process including planning where required, Gary with the EHL team subsequently constructs the sites, and Carly & Natalie undertake the HR, training, and employment.
Natalie is the Siesta Brand Manager, and she is responsible for auditing, reporting, training, managing and improving the stores in accordance with processes written and updated by Ryan and Carly. Natalie, for example, initially started as a Barista in the Groups’ Aycliffe store and has subsequently grown to manage and oversee their operations given her store experience and we will continue to do the same for anyone willing and proven to grow with the business. This is our preferred route to directly employing a brand manager as we want our employees to have first-hand experience of what is like to work amongst the operation thus being able to implement new ideas structurally as well being able to tell the story of how they have grown with the business.

Our aim is to provide a nationwide quality service to customers with an emphasis on personal service and professionalism. We aim to build up a strong two way working relationship with all our franchisees, and make the Siesta Coffee name synonymous with excellence.

So if you’re looking for a Franchise opportunity with some real strengths search no more.

All the facts of the business without the fuss, and all at your fingertips from day one.

Franchisees will receive 1-1 support directly with the directors and brand owners. We will guide franchisees precisely on how to achieve continued growth, high customer satisfaction and high rapports/loyalty from their staff. Franchisees will receive continued support from EHL UK for maintenance and repairs through designated contract packages and will also receive 24/7 reactive call out times in the event of emergency. We will ensure the success of all our franchisees as those will ultimately represent our brand.

The Earnings Potential

What you can earn out of Siesta Coffee Franchise is, in the final analysis, up to you: how hard you work, and how gifted you are. It’s no different to anything else. But you’ll be surprised at how the numbers can stack up.

It is important to emphasise that the above figures are projections provided for the purpose of illustration and are not intended to be a statement, representation, warranty or guarantee of individual franchisee earnings. It is essential that (prior to entering into the franchise) you satisfy yourself of the value of the investment you intend to make in terms of both time and money.
