My name is Rick Roberts I have worked in the motor trade from leaving school 25 years ago. I’ve worked in various rolls mainly the fast fit sector from servicing and repairing vehicles to Garage management. I also had 5 years’ experience is a mobile tyre fitter in and around Greater Manchester. All the knowledge and experience I picked up over the years both working on vehicles and customer service helped to start my own business.

BrakeTech is a mobile mechanic service that brings automotive repairs to the customer. We did our first job back in November 2014 in a small van and a few basic hand tools and through hard work and dedication the business has grown year upon year. We have built up an excellent reputation and a large customer base within the last six years of being in business.

We specialises mainly in vehicle braking systems but we also cover other aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair like battery fitting, vehicle servicing, suspension repairs, MOT prep and presentation and most recently mobile tyre fitting.

We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and believe that’s it’s the most important aspect of our business.

BrakeTech are now expanding and we have a variety of new franchise opportunities right now in several locations. If you want to join with us as we continue our expansion across the UK, we would like to hear from you.

British drivers clearly take pride in their vehicles, as they spend a massive £21.1 billion each year on servicing and repairing them. That’s according to a report from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. This makes British cars among the best maintained in the world.

It’s an industry that fuels success for over 42,500 vehicle service and repair ventures of all sizes and types through the UK.

So many people think of starting their own business – not just for the financial rewards but for the opportunity to be your own boss and run your own life. But the downside is that although you get all the rewards, you also take the risks. Taking on a franchise within a proven operation reduces those risks substantially. By joining BrakeTech, you can reduce them even more!

Track record of success

We have a developed a method of doing business that works well and produces successful results.
Strong Brand – One of the biggest advantages of franchising is that the company is building a brand on a regional or national basis that should have value in the eyes of customers you’re trying to attract.

We have a training programme designed to bring you up to speed on the most successful methods to run the business. We have reference materials to assist you in dealing with whatever comes up while you’re running your business.

Ongoing operational support

We have staff dedicated to providing ongoing assistance to franchisees. You’re not alone when you’re building and running your business, and you can always call on experienced people when you hit a rough spot or want to share new ideas for growing the business.

Marketing assistance

We will offer you marketing assistance to provide you with proven tools and strategies for attracting and retaining customers.

Purchasing power

As a franchise you can take advantage of the buying power of the entire system to negotiate prices for everything you need at significantly lower levels than you could achieve as an independent operator.

Risk avoidance

The biggest reason to buy a franchise is that, if you’re smart, it will help you avoid much of the risk of starting a new business.

Despite there being a global shift to consider our environmental impact, the number of cars the public own is growing each year. Research also suggests that the public is willing to part with £21 billion a year to make sure their vehicles stay in tip-top shape with brakes being at the top of the list.

1. Flexibility
You are in control of growing the business and making sure it is making enough profit. Being your own boss means you have the flexibility to choose your own hours. But there is a chance these will be long, as you may have to cover for employees if they’re unwell.

2. Good income
A successful business that is producing a healthy amount of profit, they can expect to earn around £45,000 in the first couple of years, and then around £50,000 after 10 years.

3. Thrive in any economic climate
When the economy is strong, auto repairers will see plenty of new and used car owners as they often offer maintenance and repairs at lower prices than auto dealerships. While in tougher markets, drivers are more likely to keep their cars for longer and choose to pay for repairs rather than a new car.

4. Not been replaced by online businesses
Many brick and mortar businesses have struggled to survive in the digital age. Shoppers across the UK can’t resist the ease, vast selection and competitive pricing that online shopping offers. While you can easily order clothes online and have them arrive at your door the next day, at the moment cars can’t fix themselves, so customers will need to hire someone to come out and help resolve the problem.

As a franchisee, you will receive training on how to operate the business. This will include customer service, stock management, invoicing and online bookings. Everyone working for BrakeTech is an important player on the team. We believe in building personal professional relationships with our customers and being polite and helpful at all times. A Braketech franchise is ideally suited to someone who has worked as a motor vehicle mechanic or a fitter and is confident with vehicle maintenance and repair. The main jobs you need to be confident on are repair and maintenance of the entire vehicle braking systems, vehicle servicing, battery & charging systems and vehicle suspension repairs. These are the main jobs that you will do as a Franchisee. However, you do not have to limit yourself just to these jobs, I will take on other repair work if the job can be done on the floor and I’m confident enough I can get the job done.

All our BrakeTech Franchisees are polite, punctual, customer focussed and well organised. You need to be able to think on their feet and know how to avoid problems when working on customers cars.

Great service from enquiry to fitting. Rick was really nice and helpful.
Would definitely recommend. Thanks Rick

Excellent service!! Couldn’t recommend highly enough. I’ve used Rick on several occasions for a variety of issues: flat battery, full service and slow puncture. He always resolves issues quickly and efficiently with no fuss. Wish I’d have known about this service years ago. Rick is lovely to deal with too, always polite and punctual.

Great service, great prices. Very impressed and will use in the future without doubt.

Needed two new tyres on my car, booked an appointment at my house. Rick arrived right on time and put them on my car and took the old ones away. Job done in less than half hour. Can’t recommend him enough, will definatley be using again.
